Fourth of July Recipes

Looking for festive recipes to make this weekend? Here are a few that will add some red, white & blue to your Fourth of July holiday.

You can't go wrong with a trifle, and putting a little orange zest into the whipped cream adds a nice touch of citrus.

Fruit Pizza  I've never tried jelly on it (as the recipe recommends) but it may be good. I'll be making a rectangular version this weekend using strawberries and blueberries to create a flag.

And last but not least, who doesn't love an old school Ice Box Cake

Happy Easter!

Puffed pasty wrapped bacon anyone??

I was drooling when I saw this recipe for Bacon Cheddar Twists in Puff Pastry on Brunch at Bobby's the other day and had to share. I can't wait to make this as a Sunday morning treat and for the upcoming Easter holiday! I think I'll use the Everything But the Bagel Seasoning from Trader Joe's instead of poppy seeds though. Oh and by the way, and he happened to mention Mrs. London's in Saratoga on this episode too! Love a little upstate NY love on national TV!

The Perfect Winter Meal

Winter is upon us yet again which means comfort food. I wanted to share this amazing recipe from Food & Wine that we made on Christmas Eve, and it ended up being a huge hit! The sweetness of the root vegetable mash went so well with the savory braised beef short rib, it was perfect combo. We plan on making it a few more times this winter. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did! Braised Short Ribs with Root Vegetable Mash

It's National S'mores Day! Let's get ROASTED!
